About the Lazio Region

Most tourists hardly bother to check into the history of Lazio. Visiting this city situated in Italy shall never be complete unless one knows more about its history. One will be amazed to know that this city dates back as far as 750,000 years ago. This is what archeological finds suggest. According to them, mankind had made its presence felt in what is now known as Lazio in the form of Neanderthals who used to live in the various caves of Circeo.

The overall climate is mild and favorable having Mediterranean climatic condition. 2006 estimates show the population around 275,065 people.
